The 21st century has begun. What changes do you think this new century will bring? With examples and details in your answer.

Man, through the ages, has undergone many changes from the time when he depicted a herd of
mammoths on the walls of his cave to these days when he can create beautiful pictures and even make coffee by use of computer technologies without leaving his favorite chair. The 20th century made huge steps in developing computer technologies and reached many goals that made our life much easier.

What should we expect in the 21st century?First of all, I think that the pace of our life will speed up: we will move faster from one place to another, from one continent to another using high speed jet airplanes. Second of all, I believe that we will be able to do many things that take much time now without leaving our house. Computers will be everywhere including out clothes. Many people will have chips and mini computers inserted in their heads to hold huge amount of information and have a quick access to it.

But what will be the most amazing thing in the 21st century is the flights to the outer space and Mars that will be available to all people. Scientists say that Mars has many things similar to the Earth's. Moreover, they say that with the help of modern technology people can artificially create conditions that will allow people to live there on the constant basis.

To sum up, I am sure that many amazing changes will be brought by the 21st century. Furthermore, I
think that with the help of the contemporary technologies people can do many things that were even
difficult to imagine a century ago. So, nowadays it is rather difficult and even impossible to imagine all changes that will happen in the next decades.

ARE BOOKS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EXPERIENCE?

This is an another example. Nowadays, most people appreciate learning at school, where a number of books are the source of knowledge. However, from my point of view, learning from experience is much more important than learning from books since our real lives concern more about knowledge from experience than knowledge from books.
Firstly, knowledge obtained from books is more abstract. As we enthusiastically study in classroom, we have learned several mathematics equations, or a number of science theories. Of course, they all are necessary for some professional occupations, such as scientist, engineer, and doctor, but not for all careers.
In addition, knowledge from books is rather logical and exact. The result of a matter is always follow-concerned theories. For example, a person who has learned science can know how long that an apple falls to the ground takes. Certainly, the answer can be obtained by using Newton's formula.
Nevertheless, I think that the most significant lessons cannot be taught; they have to be experienced. No one can teach us how we can get along with others well when we have to change to a new society. Books cannot teach us how to adjust behavior to satisfy others, and think optimistically when we confront a trouble.
In contrast to books, knowledge from experience is adjustable; it does not depend on any theory or equation. A solution from experience is always depending on the situation and other factors influencing the problem. This is because living experience is so fine and complex that cannot be determined by theories or equations.
In conclusion, although both books and experience can give us a variety of knowledge, in my view, the knowledge from experience is more important. The reason is that in everyday life we must face with a lot of situations, either extremely hard or easy to cope with, that cannot be handling by just knowledge from books.

ARE BOOKS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EXPERIENCE?

This is another example. It is true that "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." A person can learn a lot and retain what he learns through experience. In my opinion life's valuable lessons are learnt from experience and so the knowledge gained from experience is more important.

Books are a great source of information. A person in his lifetime cannot experience everything, but by reading a book on a particular subject he can gain knowledge over that subject in less time. There are books available on any subject that one needs. However experience seems more important to me.
Suppose a person living in the United States wants to learn about India. He has two options: he would visit India and learn about the people and places there or he would just pick up a book about India and read it. The first option will be expensive and time consuming, but at the same time it gives one first-hand information and a sense of satisfaction while the second option is less expensive and saves time.

A person can gain knowledge and learn many valuable lessons through his/her own practical experiences and also the experiences of others. The knowledge learnt from experience is very likely to be retained in our memory for a long period of time. The conclusions that we draw from what we learn would be from our practical experience instead of accepting the conclusion drawn in the book by the author.

So in my opinion knowledge can be gained both by reading books and by experience but the knowledge gained through experience is more important.

EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER

This example will tell us about how experience is used by our brains whether it's positive or negative. Books are considered to be the source of all knowledge, but all that one learns through a book is only of theoretical nature in the form of ideas and concepts. It is essential to utilize them in a real environment and experience the knowledge that is learned from books.

Learning is nothing but understanding the world around us. Books, no doubt are a great source of knowledge as it gives us an idea about a particular subject in detail. But all that one could learn from it is limited to the level of knowing how a certain phenomenon occurs, or how a certain concept works. The knowledge gained through books alone cannot help anyone, because what one learns through the books should be put in to use to harvest the benefits. For instance, a person who wants to learn driving can go through various manuals and guides that teach people how to drive, but all this knowledge is useful only when you are actually driving the car on the roads. It would be an utter waste of time if one just reads the books and does not use them for practical purpose.

Learning through experience is always a lot different from learning through books. Let us consider the same example of a person wanting to learn to drive: even if he goes through every book that is available on driving, still it cannot qualify him as an expert driver. This is because of the fact that books about driving can only teach people traffic rules and provide solutions on how to handle certain situations. The situations faced by a driver could be totally different from what he had learnt from a book. Sometimes we find that the real environment is quite different from the one perceived by us through reading books. This is the very reason why, even in educational institutions, all theoretical classes are followed by practical sessions.

Learning through experience can also be more effective than learning through books because one does not envision everything on his own, but is given a chance to experience the reality. The art of driving can be enjoyed only when we are behind the wheels and not when reading it in books. Moreover, any book is actually an account of past experiences, i.e. it is based on the experiences of people who tried to develop a new idea. The books are their experiences, telling us what they already have tried. Thus from their experiences we can correct ourselves and thus save valuable time and resources. It helps us to concentrate on their failures and to correct them, but they alone cannot teach us everything we need to know. The knowledge learned through books alone cannot help us to face all the exigencies that we would face in real life situations; we have to practice on our own.

Books are like a guiding light in one's pursuit for knowledge. But it is left to everyone of us to experience it first hand and learn new things for the betterment of their lives. So the notion "experience is the best teacher" is perfectly true.

HAS THE EASE OF COOKING IMPROVED LIFE?

Third Example. Recent technological advancements have changed the way people live radically. They have also made food easier to prepare - fast foods and preserved foods are everywhere. The days when cooking of food were a major errand of the day has long become the past. Nowadays if s only a matter of minutes to cook food. However this improvement does not come without a price.
The most important loss we suffer due to these fast foods is quality. These fast foods are lower in nutritional value and contain less minerals and vitamins. Further they have high calories that result in weight gain and that in turn leads to heart diseases and other problems. Further, they have added flavors, colors and preservatives that are not always very helpful to our health.
These preserved foods have also taken away the natural taste and benefits of fresh foods from our lives. We now depend upon artificial flavorings to make a fish taste like a fish. However we cannot get the natural taste of fresh foods from preserved foods.
We have lost the fun of cooking because of these fast foods. Cooking used to be an art and people enjoyed cooking and the satisfactions they got by cooking a tasty meal. Further, cooking is the time when family members gated and enjoyed their time together. However with less time devoted to cooking, the chances for such meals are now rare.
All these illustrations point out that although fast foods and preserved foods are unavoidable in today's busy world, we must not totally neglect the advantages of fresh foods. We must sometimes take time with our families to prepare a delicious meal and enjoy it together with the ones we love the most.

HAS THE EASE OF COOKING IMPROVED LIFE?

Food has always been the one of the greatest wants of humankind. It has influenced almost every step that humankind has taken. The search for food is the essence of life. Therefore if food is easier to get and prepare it is a real boon to humankind.
Food is the most important of the three basic amenities of life (water, food and shelter). Though it can be argued that water is the sustenance for any life form, food is more important because if you do not have water you will surely die. But if you are left with a scarcity of food it will lead to a very sickly and torturous life. Nutritious food is very essential for life, food has been the cause of many a battle. Thus if food was easier to prepare it will take away from the mind of the humankind a great burden.
Though the preparation of food becoming easier is considered a great blessing for humankind. The sudden rise in processed and canned food and all the junk food that one gets over the counter is not totally a boon. People, who are so busy that they are not able to spend time to prepare their food, develop a liking for this ready-to-eat junk food. Though it might be thought of as a great way to save time, this is a shortsighted idea that could actually lead to a world of harm. Because one must understand that even though junk food saves us a lot of time, the nutritional value of the food is not so good. In reality the preservatives used in these foods are often found to be toxic in nature. Hence it defeats the purpose it is supposed to serve i.e., to provide nutritional value.
Moreover since people do not take time to prepare food, the art of cooking is slowly vanishing. Actually cooking is a good way of releasing pressure that builds up from our professional commitments. Cooking can easily provide relief from all the tensions that prevail in our life. In the past family weekend get together was considered to be a good time to know each other and they used to spend time cooking food for the entire family. They used to exchange recipes and it was a way of rewinding after the hard week long labor. Thus this junk food has denied the human kind of one of humankind’s oldest arts. It could even be termed as a retrograde step in human culture.
Therefore I believe though the processed food has made the preparation of food much easier, it is not a good step for mankind.

HAS THE EASE OF COOKING IMPROVED LIFE?

People work hard to fulfill their principal necessities, and food is the one thing that is really important to their survival. Although sometimes belied by other things that seem important, food is the core objective that drives all people to work. But the outcome of the efforts of these people is not a direct supply of food; rather it is in the form of money. Thus these people use the money they obtain to prepare their food.
In old days, preparing food was cumbersome and time-consuming work for those who do it solely for eating purposes. This kind of preparing food in due time could not comply with the kind of life people lead today. The use of technological advancement makes preparing food practical even for the clumsiest person. This helps a great deal for those who work against time to make their living. It also avoids the waste of considerable amount of money from hiring a cook.
The development in the preparation of food is highly effective for those people who have no know how of it. A person who does not know how to prepare his/her own food would go to a restaurant or some other place where food is served every day. But with the advanced food preservation technology, now he is free, completely independent of restaurants and other places. He can prepare his own food and enjoy the feeling of "home, sweet home".
For people at work, life has just become easy for them. They will not have to worry all day long about what they are going to prepare for their supper. They can fully concentrate on their jobs, and work with a mind full of peace.
In general this new way of preparing food has helped those who are concerned about their daily meals — almost everyone. Not only that, it would enlighten those who are frustrated with their jobs just because of the worry of that tiresome work — preparing food.

ARE PARENTS BEST TEACHERS?

Parents are the most committed, the most influential, and almost the best teachers any child can have. The amount of time a child interacts with parents makes them the most influential force in a child’s life. The child gets to learn the most basics of things like walking, speaking and interacting with others. It is under the protections of parents that a child learns to behave in society and to comfort him or herself.
Although parents are the most influential teachers in their children’s life, they may not be regarded as the best teachers. Parents generally provide a biased view of the world; they always favor their child, and thus they cannot provide a complete panoramic view of the society. Also parents may set a bad example for their child by abusing and fighting amongst themselves. Psychologists and recent crime charts have proved that young outlaws generally come from disrespectful families, and have grown up in extreme environments.
A child interacts with many kinds of teachers at schools and colleges. Although these teachers, being professionals, have limited time to devote to a child, they provide a complete and diverse view to their students. They provide unbiased guidance to a child.

During the years of adolescence, children tend to be aggressive and non- conforming to others' views. So the parents need to act like friends rather than teachers to get their experiences through to their children. Eventually, it is the parents who provide an environment for a child to develop and mature, and thus have the capacity to be the best teachers to their child. What is important is to provide an unbiased view to their child, to motivate independent thinking and actuate timely maturation.

ARE PARENTS BEST TEACHERS?

Fifth Example. Are parents are best teachers? Different people will give different responses to this question from their own characters, emotional concerns and even educational backgrounds. However, when it comes to me, I believe that parents are our best teachers for the following reasons.
In the first place, parents are the people who are closest to us and who understand our real needs best. From infancy on, our parents have witnessed every step in both our physical and mental development. They share every hint of happiness or unhappiness with us and they even know what a little gesture of us might indicate. Based on such a deep understanding, our parents will teach us what we are interested in and what we are not. For instance, they can often buy books on our favored topics such as sea animals and astronomical objects. Little by little, we can mature our minds and broaden our horizons in our favorite fields. (Or are we prospective artists, scientists, teachers, or even businesspeople? Our parents might tell that at our early ages. Consequently, they will give us specific encouragement and abundant resources in our favored fields. Sometimes, our parents can even point out a direction to our future professional goals. Will other people do that for us based on such a solid understanding of us?)
In the second place, our experienced parents are our best teachers of today's complicated society. From our teachers at school, we can learn sophisticated knowledge. But how can our teachers tell us how to communicate with others, how to deal with strangers, how to behave in different occasions, and how to make important decisions of our daily life? Only our parents, who will spend their whole life loving us, earing us will tell us how to steer our own boats in the ocean of life without selfish consideration.
Admittedly, our friends and school teachers would provide us with valuable advice now and then, and maybe it will be easier for us to follow their suggestions. Their effects on us cannot be neglected or replaced by our parents. And parents might spoil their children or even interfere with children’s privacy because of love. To be honest, the roles of these two kinds of people cannot be replaced by each other. However, it seems to me that only our parents, who will spend their whole life with us, will be our best teachers, not only for now but also for our whole life.
All in all, if all the factors are contemplated, we can easily reach a conclusion that, parents are not only our first teachers but also our best teachers. Let's be carefully aware of this point and take better care of our parents to repay their efforts to teach us.

ARE PARENTS BEST TEACHERS?

Fourth example. Nowadays, some may hold the opinion that parents are the best teachers. But others have a negative attitude. As far as I am concerned, I agree with this statement because, obviously, the first teachers we have in our lives in most cases are our parents. They teach us how to walk, how to speak, and what are good manners and bad manners before we reach the real world. Therefore, parents are the people who influence their children most, and children will carry on qualities of their parents. More than even the professional teachers that we have at school, parents are generally the most involved in the development and education of children. The reasons are presented below.
One of the primary reasons is that our parents are the teachers at the beginning of our lives, which actually corresponds to the parents' role in nature. First, parents are most committed and involved in teaching their children and have a kind of instinct to sacrifice a part of themselves for the betterment of their children. Second, they love their children and have great patience while passing down their knowledge to us. They wish us to become success and thus will not teacher us bad things. Surely, children will unconsciously copy some of their parents' habits and styles of behavior. Besides, parents will become their first role models.
There is also a more subtle point we must consider. During the second stage of child development, adolescence, parents can still be in the best position to offer advices even though the children might not accept it. In this ease, perhaps the child’s friends would be the best teachers. Adolescents are notoriously rebellious in many cultures and may automatically reject and advice from their parents. In such matters, parents should be much more flexible and rather be friends with their children. However, many parents simply are not able to meet the increased demands, being teachers of their growing children.
What is more, I would say that parents are not professional teachers and they tend to be very biased by their love of their children. As a result, wishing good things and an easy life may prevent children from maturation. Frequently, parents usually present only one viewpoint of the world, while good teaching should be based on different attitudes. For this reason, children may learn probably more if they have a great diversity of teachers other than the parents. Furthermore, technology develops very quickly; and parents may not always be objective in regard to modem trends and give children proper advices. However, I believe that the care and love among family members still makes our parents very good teachers and advisers at any time.

Taking into account of all these factors, we may reach the conclusion that parents are obviously the most committed of all teachers. Although well- rounded children will generally need a great diversity of teachers, parents can provide them the greatest emotional support in their lives without a substitute.

ARE PARENTS BEST TEACHERS?

Third example. Throughout all the years in my life, I was influenced by my parents in many fashions, from the way of thinking to the trifle everyday habits. No doubt, we inherit the gene from our parents and get basic knowledge and norms from them. What we learned from our parents in the early years will be encoded in our mind and be reflected in nearly every aspect of our behaviors. But in terms teaching, I do not think if s our parents who are the best teachers.
As is known to all, a child will be better trained with a systematic education. However, except those parents who are schoolteachers themselves, few parents grasp the systematic way of teaching. On the one hand, children can only learn a large scope of knowledge step by step from formal education at schools. On the other hand, the parents can only teach their children sporadic knowledge. It is obvious that the young will be better equipped through formal education in classroom.
From the emotional angle, the bond between child and parents are so tight that the parents cannot give a more objective instruction than a schoolteacher can. Some parents tend to spare their children from hard working and, to the extreme; some even spoil their children to do everything they want. All these are resulted from parents' love toward children. But from an objective angle, hardworking is sometimes a necessary step toward success. Parents should not be blamed for loving their children but such love may become obstacle for objective instruction.
With the coming of the knowledge economic, we may find that our parents' knowledge is becoming obsolete. In a changing world, the young are always the first to fashion the news ideas and technology. The elderly, however, are always not used to such rapid changes. Thus, conflicts are inevitable between parents and their children. Accordingly, the young are no longer willing to commit to their parents ideas. To catch the tide of such changes, it is of the best interest for the young to learn from the open world instead of from the obsolete knowledge of their parents.
All this is not to say that to learn from parents is useless. In fact, even in the rapidly changing world, the scope of parents' knowledge still has great influence on their children, especially on young children. But for the young to get the most needed knowledge, they should not solely rely on what they learned from their parents.

ARE PARENTS BEST TEACHERS?

This is the second example. Our entire education system is based on what we accumulate each day of our life. In spite of the fact that school teachers are those who give us lots of information in a variety of fields, our parents are still the best teachers; they start their educational process as soon as we were bore and never stop teaching us.
In the initial years of our life, our parents are involved in guiding us; in modulating our personality and making us understand the differences between right and wrong. When I was five, my parents bought me a dog; they taught me how to take care of him, feed him, play with him and bath him. Thus, I learned that we all have responsibilities.
Even if parents are not specialized in education, their role in teaching the children to be aware of the need of improving their knowledge at school is tremendous. Our parents are not supposed to teach us Math, Chemistry or Biology, but they are very much involved in giving us lessons about being independent, strong and confident in ourselves.  As my mother said to me, "fight your own battles because I will not be always able to protect you."

Teenagers have to be informed about all the negative effects that can occur if using drugs, drinking alcohol, or smoking. Regarding this issue, parents have to cooperate with school teachers to make children aware of those possible risks.

I believe that parents are the best teachers because their lessons last forever. My parents are old now. Even when I am a grown up person, I consider that they can still give me very good advices when I need them, based on their life experience. My parents have the most important role in my education during my life and I will always be grateful for everything they have taught me.

ARE PARENTS BEST TEACHERS?

This topic will also have many examples as all other topics will have in the future or have been in the past. This example essay is about the children's brain thinking about their parents as they are the ones who are always close to them except for some exceptions.
Obviously, the first teachers we have in our lives in most cases are our parents. They teach us to walk, to speak, and to have good manners before we reach “the real world.” More than even the professional teachers that we have at school, parents are generally the most involved in the development and education of children.
Almost for sure our parents are the best teachers at the beginning of our lives, which actually corresponds to the parents' role in nature. Parents are most committed and involved in teaching their children; they have a kind of instinct to sacrifice a part of themselves for the betterment of their children. They love us and have great patience while passing down their knowledge to us. They wish us a success and thus will not teach us bad things. And of course, implicit learning occurs when children unconsciously copy some of their parents' habits and styles of behavior.
During the second stage of child development, adolescence, parents can still be in the best position to offer advice even though the children might not accept it. In this case, perhaps the child's friends would be the best teachers. Adolescents are notoriously rebellious in many cultures and may automatically reject any advice from their parents. My first marriage for instance, was solely a matter of doing the opposite when my parents tried to intrude in offering their advice. So in such matters, parents should be much more flexible and be rather the partners with their children. So we can see that being a teacher of growing child become more and more complicated case as the time passes and many parents are simply not able to meet the increased demands.
On the other hand, I would say that parents are not professional teachers and they tend to be very biased by their love of their children. So wishing good things and an easy life may prevent children from maturation. In any case, parents usually can present only one viewpoint of the world, while good teaching should be based on different attitudes. Thus, when children go to school and have a great diversity of teachers, they learn much more than their parents could probably give them. Furthermore, once our parents get older, they become more conservative and cannot always be objective in regard to modem trends and fashions. Thus we need to take their advice with caution during that period. However, some kind of intuition that I believe shared between relatives about what everybody needs and great love that exists in families still makes our parents very good teachers and advisers at any time.
In conclusion, while parents are not the ideal teachers, and well-rounded children will generally need a great diversity of teachers in their lives in order to have a more accurate view of the world, parents are generally the most committed of all teachers and have the greatest emotional investment in their children and their future.

WHY GO TO UNIVERSITY?

This is the fourth example on how we think of university as a learning place. A university degree often helps a person achieve his goal with more ease. However, do we attend university just in pursuit of a degree? Does a university only provide us nothing beneficial besides a paper-made diploma? As far as I am condemned, we enjoy university education in the following aspects:
Firstly, with the knowledge learned at a university, we will have a deep understanding of our society. It is true that genuine knowledge comes from practice, but it cannot be denied that genuine knowledge tells us how to practice. A systematic study in a college or a university, of course, enables us to realize how the society works and how to cope with certain problems arising from it in a more efficiently, and more skillful way.
Second, a university education usually makes it possible that we get hold of a decent job. As a result of the accomplishment of a four-year study, it is not difficult for us to find a good job in most eases. How can we imagine that a graduate majoring in astronomy has to be a vendor in the street! No doubt, he/she should sit in his/her laboratory, doing research on aircraft science before a computer. Obviously, a university education assures him/her a decent job.
Last, but not the least, we can help others much better if we put what we have learned at a university into practice. A university education fortifies our values, enhance our skills, and broaden our horizons. With those, we are more capable of giving a hand to those who are in need of help than ever before.

Knowledge is power. When achieving a degree at a university, we can get a better understanding of the society, find a decent job in an easy way, and help others better. All of those are due to the knowledge learned at a university.

WHY GO TO UNIVERSITY?

This is an example on how we people think about universities and how our brain thinks about learning at universities. People attend college for various reasons. Some people consider college as a challenge and others take it as a new experience. In my opinion, I think that people attend college to increase knowledge, meet new people and develop a career. Studying at a college can benefit a person greatly since it augments a person's knowledge, aids in developing a career and gives a chance to meet new people of different backgrounds.

Knowledge is such a powerful tool that possessing it can diminish nearly all life problems. A college or a university is the place where one can gain knowledge and become valuable to the society. An individual can acquire knowledge about a wide variety of subjects. When my brother was in college, he learned about bacteria and viruses. He had learned that at high school a little bit, but in college he studied it in depth. In addition, he also learned how deal with life problems in college.

Developing a career is a very important stage in our life. Most students, after graduating from high schools, go to colleges or universities to be trained and educated. Some major in various subjects while others go for professional degrees. Universities help students in achieving their goals by preparing them for the career they have picked. If I go to a medical school, I know that the school will prepare me well enough for me to become a successful medical doctor.

Interacting with new people is always a challenge. A university is a place where people from different backgrounds get opportunities to interact with each other. Information about different cultures, different life styles and certain types of food is shared among students. My father used to study at a university, and he told me about all the different cultural backgrounds of the students there.

A college or a university is the place where dreams can be fulfilled. The subjects such as how to deal with life, how to interact with people and how to become independent are taught and experienced there. A college or a university makes an individual complete and help him/her to lead a successful life.

WHY GO TO UNIVERSITY?

This is another example on how we think of learning new things. University is no longer a fresh word to people nowadays. Since the beginning of this century, more and more youngsters choose to enter university after they have completed the study in high schools rather than to join the army or become an apprentice. Therefore, it is kind of interesting to find out the reason behind.
First of all, students can only learn fundamental knowledge during high school while they are able to focus on their own interested majors in universities. This period is the key to knowledge accumulation, which will contribute a lot to the future of an individual. Moreover, university is no doubt the symbol of high education. It offers more than pure knowledge. A degree from a university gives people certain identity that makes them stand out among their competitors. It can be seen from the fact that most international companies will only hire those who have at least a Bachelor's degree in China.

But, as far as I know, sincere dreams might also be the reason for university or college. For instance, in the 60s and 70s, people in China experienced hard times. Many of them had to give up advanced education and take up the burdens of life at their early age. Now, as they became parents or even grandparents, their dream for university education had no doubt realized by their younger family members. Those young people, as reported, often study very hard in order to fulfill the expectations of two generations.
There is no doubt that university can be the turning point of one's future, because higher education will provide people with not only knowledge prepared for their careers, but also the fulfillment of their life goals. Meanwhile, the society has improved its strength to sponsor higher education. Compared with the past, people now attend universities also because they are able to secure various scholarships and supports from different channels. A very good example is that many Chinese students are now studying in the U. S. Their incentive for application should be attributed to not only to their own performance but also the comprehensive education frameworks in the U. S.

Broadly speaking, people who study in universities have their hopes: to fulfill themselves. At the same time, our society generously provides such an environment for people to achieve such goals. Therefore, when we see more and more fresh smiles on the campus of universities, let us just wish them a promising future.

WHY GO TO UNIVERSITY?

This essay will tell us about the teenagers mind structure on the further education. I strongly believe that everyone should attend university. Entering university is at the same time a so much promising step into a world of opportunities as long as it is accompanied by a strong will and desire for distinction. The quality and diversity of opportunities and the spread spectrum of choices higher education can provide us is the core motive for everyone intending to attend university. I will try to examine below the specific reasons for entering university according to which I think are the most common viewpoints nowadays.
First let us look at what a person can typically gain from a successfully study at a university. It is a diploma and/or a degree. This is by default leading to a more distinct, respected, well-paid profession. Nowadays unemployment crisis is troubling not only the poor countries but the developed western countries as well, so that the ease of finding a job may play an important role in the decisions people are making.
Another important reason is that people want to get more education. University provides a higher level of education and has all these resources and facilities for people who crave knowledge. Learning is the key to everything that we want to improve. So, higher education helps us widen our understanding and increase our intellectual ability.
Apart from the points I made above there is also a well-known fashion all over the world that is called career preparation. Many people attend university in order to seek either a career in science and technology or a career in business. It is believed that the ideas, opportunities, qualifications, in-depth knowledge and expertise in science areas often make attending university imperative. Many times a four-year study at a university may only be the beginning of a sequence of moves someone can make in order to accomplish what he thinks best for his career.
Finally, I cannot oversee the fact that many times studying at a university also means living in a city far from home. New responsibilities always appear but they do not become serious drawbacks. In contrast, the new sense of freedom and independence a young man can experience or thinks he will is thought of as something of great importance. One thing is for sure though, there is chance for everyone in the community of a university to meet people, make new friends and know individuals of great importance.

Last but not least I wish to say that the purpose of university is to harvest knowledge and to being educated, so it is obvious that everyone can find a reason for attending university.

Psychology as The Science of Observable Behavior

In this essay, we will discuss about the study of mind. Psychology evolved from the more established fields of biology and philosophy. Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes. Psychology has many activities ranging from recording nerve-cell activity to psychotherapy. Psychology began as the science of mental life. This was only until 1920. Then a man by the name of John Watson redefined psychology as the science of observable behavior. Psychology then changed again in 1960. Bringing back the initial interest of mental processes through studies of how our minds process and retain information, or how we perceive, think and remember. To be able to include both the observable behavior as well as the inner thoughts and feelings psychology became the science of behavior and mental processes. This is what psychology is today.
Statement of Research Topic and Question:
Prison inmates are some of the most poorly adjusted people in society. Most inmates have had too little discipline or too much. Many are from broken homes, they have no self-esteem and many were labeled as deviants in early adolescence. Most inmates are very insecure and are at war with themselves as well as society.
When individuals are labeled as criminals, many begin to strive to be that label. So they will strive to be criminals. Many people believe that if we want to rehabilitate criminals we must do more than just send them to prison. For instance, we could give them a chance to acquire job skills; which in turn will improve the chances that inmates will become productive citizens upon release. The programs must aim to change those who want to change. Those who are taught to produce useful goods and to be productive are likely to develop the self-esteem essential to a normal, integrated personality.
This kind of program would provide skills and habits that can replace the sense of hopelessness that many inmates feel.

Corporate Crimes and Computer Crimes

In this essay the exciting criminal phenomenon known as white-collar crime will be discussed. Corporate Crime and Computer Crime will be discussed in detail. Crime preventative agencies such as the NCPC (National Crime Prevention Council) will also be researched.
The late Professor Edwin Sutherland coined the term white-collar crime about 1941. Sutherland defined white-collar crime as "a crime committed by a person of respectability and high social status in the course of his occupation" (Siegel 337)
White-collar crime includes, by way of example, such acts as promulgating false or misleading advertising, illegal exploitation of employees, mislabeling of goods, violation of weights and measures statutes, conspiring to fix prices, evading corporate taxes, computer crimes, and so on.
White-collar crime is most distinctively defined in terms of attitudes toward those who commit it. These crimes are punishable by law, however it is generally regarded by the courts and by sections of the general public as much less reprehensible than crimes usually punished by the courts. The other types of crime are blue-collar offenses, which are predominately crimes of the under-privileged. White-collar crimes are punished far less harshly than blue-collar crimes, which shows societies attitudes towards the two sections of society. White-collar crime is attractive to criminals because it brings material rewards with little or no loss of status. (Taft & England 201)
For some, white-collar crime is not viewed as a "crime" at all, because of its non-violent nature. Violent crime has an immediate and observable impact on its victim which raises the ire of the public, whereas white-collar crime frequently goes undetected or is viewed as a bending of the rules. Yet white-collar crime can create the greater havoc. The victim of an assault will recover; however, the impact of a fraud can last a lifetime. This is especially true when the elderly are victimized, as they have little or no hope of re-establishing themselves in financial terms. Contrary to the popular belief, white-collar criminals are thieves and the methods used to conceal their offenses are both artful and ingenious. Concealment of the crime is always an objective of the offender, and it becomes an element of the crime itself. Because it is an artful form of deceit, which is skillfully disguised, the investigation itself is often long and laborious as far as proving criminal intent is concerned. The offence itself may be disguised in a maze of legitimate transactions, which are quite proper if viewed in isolation; however, the cumulative effect is the commission of a criminal offence. From the standpoint of the criminal, the ideal white- collar crime is one that will never be recognized or detected as a criminal act. (Radzinowicz 325-335)
Corporate crime is the type of crime that is engaged in by individuals and groups of individuals who become involved in criminal conspiracies designed to improve the market share or profitability of their corporations. ( Siegel 338)
Corporations are legal entities, which can be and are subjected to criminal processes. There is today little restriction on the range of crimes for which corporations may be held responsible, though a corporation cannot be imprisoned. The most controversial issue in regard to the study of corporate crime revolves around the question of whether corporate crime is "really crime." Corporate officials, politicians, and many criminologists object to the criminological study of corporate criminality on the strictest sense of the word. The conventional and strictly legal definition of crime is that it is an act, which violates the criminal law and is thereby punishable by a criminal court. From this perspective a criminal is one who has been convicted in a criminal court. Given these widely accepted notions of crime and criminals, it is argued that what is called corporate crime is not really crime and should not be considered as such by either the public or criminologists. (Hochstedler 22)
It does appear that now in recent times society has had a growing concern about white-collar and corporate crime. Studies have indicated that the public now judges white-collar criminality to be more serious than it had been in the past, people now have lost confidence in the people running major companies, and most American corporate executives are believed to be dishonest. The public's concern with corporate crime has grown recently, but has been evident for several years. I will use one of the most memorable corporate crime cases in history; The Ford Pinto Case to prove my statement. (Cullen/Maakestad/Cavender 43)
The product liability lawsuit and appeal titled Grimshaw v. Ford Motor Company is a case in point and ought to be read by everyone. Grimshaw is an example of the type of thing that can happen when an industry isolates itself.

Education and Knowledge

This essay is an example of what makes us human. What is Education? Education is a very broad word because education can be any environment or situation where you learn something or acquire knowledge. This paper will discuss what education is, For example schooling, training, upbringing even trial and error. This paper will also show that you don't have to go to school to get educated or to be able to do something with your life and that education never stops we are always learning therefor we are always getting educated. Some of the most famous people in history never even finished grade school. Such as Thomas Edison, The inventor of the light bulb and Henry ford the inventor of the model T car for the masses.
For most people, education means going to a place called school where teachers enrich us with their wisdom but education can be a variety of thing For example, Education can be schooling, training, upbringing or trial and error. Schooling, Is delivered through a controlled environment. For example in a class room where you are given a book by an instructor and he or she teaches you what they want to teach you. When you're a kid you go to school to learn to read and write. Many people go to school to get additional education to get a better job. For example someone who wants to be a nurse has to go to school for a minimum of 3 years to get a job in the Nursing field. A nurse has to know how to draw blood administer an Iv (intravenous drip) and how to give an EKG (electrocardiogram) and those things you have to go to school to learn.
Training is another form of education. Training is form of education that refers to learning with a view toward preparing someone with a specific knowledge, skill-set, or ability that can be directly applied immediately following completion. For example, When we start a new job you get training to learn how to do that job.

What factors are related to academic success in high school students?

This essay tells us about the conscious mind of Young People about the High School. High school is a critical time in the life of young people. On the one hand, teenagers are eager to enjoy their freedom and independence. On the other hand, they must be disciplined enough to keep their priorities straight. In my opinion, three social institutions impact high school students the most at this vulnerable time – the family, peer group and school.
First, the family plays the central role by providing the backdrop in a young person’s life. A positive family environment provides love, support and encouragement for the student to do his/her best. Simultaneously, the family aims to instill discipline and ambition in the child. The influence and expectations of family members remain paramount at this time and throughout a young person's life.
Second, as a child turns into a teenager, the peer group begins to play an increasingly important role in his/her life. The friendships one develops at this highly sensitive stage can affect ones attitude to studies, authority, society and the world. In the right company, young people can get involved in positive activities that support their academic performance. With the wrong crowd, teenagers could develop a host of unhealthy and dangerous habits which impact not only their grades but all aspects of their lives.
Lastly, the school itself is a deciding factor in the student's academic success. A variety of elements determine how the students feel about school: the teachers, the staff, the facilities, the subjects, the text books, the method of instruction and more. All of these have a significant impact on the young person’s motivation to excel.
In conclusion, high school success is the product of various influences. We are all fortunate that, aside from a few unfortunate exceptions, the majority of students worldwide aspire to do well and grow up to become active and healthy participants in the world around them.

A Case Study of Female with Self Confidence

This is a case study for how she gained Self- Confidence. She does suspect that Denise's birth, 18 months after her own, was not planned, but she does not recall being threatened by her sister's arrival in the family, nor does she base this belief on any specific remark of her parents.
About this time, Maggie entered the anal stage, becoming toilet trained and being somewhat preoccupied with her bowel movements. Her mother tells her that she learned to use the bathroom very quickly, and Maggie speculates that this may have been her most significant reaction to the arrival of her sister: by mastering her bodily functions, she was no longer a baby, giving her power over Denise, who now assumed the inferior position in the family. This marked the period in which she was developing her ego, the beginnings of her consciousness of herself as a separate individual.
In Erikson's schema, she was starting the period in which the individual learns to develop autonomy and overcome shame and doubt. She was walking at this point, starting to explore her world on her own. She remembers and has photographs of herself walking through the fenced-in backyard with the family dog, Lizzie. In several of these photographs, she has managed to shed her clothes; rather than make her feel ashamed of her nakedness, her mother laughed and took discrete pictures, but Maggie does remember her mother then gently cautioning her to put on clothes when going outside.
Maggie remembers starting to be aware of herself during this time. Her earliest true memories are from the end of this period, when she was about 3. Before this time, she is uncertain that what she remembers is more than a constructed memory, built on old photographs and family stories.
In the early stages of becoming aware of herself as a person, Maggie was experiencing what Seymour Epstein (1973, May) calls the development of the self-concept, an important step which "organizes the data of experience, particularly experience involving social interaction, into predictable sequences of action and reaction . . . [and] facilitates attempts to fulfill needs while avoiding disapproval and anxiety" (p. 407). Maggie was learning to think of herself as a separate individual, capable of making sense of the world around her and manipulating it to meet her own needs.
The next three years were spent in the phallic stage, during which the superego begins to coalesce. Freud argues that this is the period in which the child begins to establish a sexual role identity, attaching to the same-sex parent and, usually unconsciously, battling the other parent for control in the relationship. Charlie was born during this time, and Maggie remembers her father's delight that he now had a son. She also recalls being secretly happy that her father was distracted by Charlie's arrival, since the experience gave her more of her mother's attention.
In Erikson's view, this is the period of developing initiative and overcome excessive guilt. Erikson does not suggest that, at any critical stage, the child learns to overcome the negative crisis to the extent that it never plays a role in the individual's life again; instead, he is arguing that each stage allows the child to grapple with the crisis and try to master it. Therefore, Maggie's confrontation with the concept of guilt did not relieve her from ever having to feel guilty again; instead, it provided her with a healthy response to the guilt she learned when she failed at what she was attempting or when she discovered herself wishing for outcomes she knew society or her family would not approve. She remembers trying to make paper dolls by cutting up one of Denise's coloring books and later trying to cover up her botched attempts by hiding the scraps of paper under the rug in her bedroom. Her mother punished her but later showed her how to use scissors and glue with plain construction paper to make some simple figures.

A Better School Environment for an Academic Excellence

This essay is about the sub-conscious and conscious and how they both work in a specific environment to a further Excellence. Such a student often sees little opportunity to improve or to effect any change so he or she becomes at-risk for dropping out of school completely. This decision is a traumatic one, and contributes to a self-defeating cycle of low confidence and low self-concept.
A component of learning that contributes much to school culture and climate is moral education. This component is often missing in American schools. Moral education is, however, a compulsory subject in most Asian schools. The objective is to make students morally aware and to foster their moral development. Lessons in moral education are both theoretical and practical. For instance, in Japan, teachers may use textbooks or innovative techniques such as role-playing. One of the commonest forms of teaching is for students to watch short dramas on a weekly basis. These dramas emphasize fundamental matters such as the value of life, the foolishness of fighting, the importance of friendship, or the problems of the elderly. The dramas need not focus on a specific message. In discussing the moral problems raised by the drama with the class, the teacher is free to steer the discussion toward a specific theme or allow the class to explore related themes.
Practical moral education in Japan also takes the form of requiring students to take responsibility for the upkeep of their classrooms. Rural schools, in particular, do not have the funds to support the full-time maintenance staffs typical of American schools. Thus Asian children and the teachers themselves are often required to do the domestic work of the school, such as serving, clearing up school lunches and general cleaning. Although there is a distinct advantage of saving money with this practice, the primary purpose is moral. It conveys to students such lessons that if they litter, it is they themselves who must go around and pick it up later. These chores also foster a collective sense of moral responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the school since the students realize that everyone can make a contribution to this end. Japanese elementary school students exhibit such pride and ownership in their schools and classrooms that vandalism is rarely a problem: "In fact, while students in America can't wait to leave school, Japanese students never seem to want to go home" (Baris-Sanders, 1997, p. 3). Moral education empowers students.
In the past, American educators have been reluctant to include a moral education component in the curriculum. Many fear that moral education will inevitably translate into the teaching of religious values, thus threatening the separation between church and state. The preference of educators is that morality be taught at home. The situation at many schools, however, has reached such a stage of crisis that the concept of morality is intimately connected to school effectiveness: "Although virtue is a justifiable end in its own right, the evidence from research on school effectiveness . . . and school culture . . . increasingly suggests that effective schools have virtuous qualities that account for a large measure of their success" (Sergiovanni, 1992, p. 99). Teachers must provide students with the moral leadership to overcome the negative pull of certain student subcultures.
In many schools, student subcultures create patterns of behavior that hinder learning. Social norms are very powerful. Once they are in place, patterns tend to determine what is and is not acceptable behavior. Negative group norms can be so powerful that they destroy a person's reality: "It is no secret that the norms of the student subculture can often force students to behave in ways that they might not choose otherwise" (Sergiovanni, 1992, p. 101). Such norms encourage antisocial behavior, ranging from skipping classes, smoking or drug abuse on school property, and vandalism, on to a wide range of serious criminal behavior. Only by altering such group norms and substituting positive expectations can educators create a school climate and culture that says its acceptable to study, cooperate, be civil, and excel in academics.
The starting point for altering negative group norms is with a discussion of core values. This instruction in virtues should begin with the acknowledgement that Americans have more in common than they realize. Sergiovanni (1994) cites a recent school study that suggests that despite wide cultural differences, variation in values is minimal: "parents, teachers, students, staff and administrators of all ethnicities and classes, value and desire education, honesty, integrity, beauty, care, justice, truth, courage, and meaningful hard work" (pp. 19-20). Unfortunately, very little time is spent in classrooms discussing these core values.

Behavior is entirely Dependent On Self-Image

The data in the subconscious mind governs the self-image and the self-image controls our effectiveness. It then becomes obvious that if we want to change our behavior, we must add information to the subconscious that will reflect itself in that behavior.

Human beings are always changing and growing. They have an insatiable, never-ending need to better themselves. Around the self-image is built everything they do. It is the core of their being.

Moment by moment you make your claims on life, monitor your experiences, attend to sensory impressions, experience your body and its functions, your mind and its thoughts. This way you can discover yourself. You record your triumphs, failures and even humiliations, they are all yours.

There will be aspects of yourself that will puzzle you, as well as such aspects you are not aware of. So long you are self-accepting you will put the pieces together.

This will be your Self-Image. How you look, what you say, what you think and do, what you feel and believe at this very moment - all this is you. This is the image you yourself have defined.

We carry with us own blue print or picture of our selves.

Why is this self-image so important? Without question, the essential key to human personality and behavior is the self-image. Even our achievements are limited by how we view ourselves. If our self-image is altered, our behavior and personality are affected by the change.

All our expectations, desires, relations with others, our performance, opportunities all depend entirely how we evaluate our selves.

"This sane mechanism within you can help you to achieve your opinions that you have perceived and
stored about yourself. It is the subconscious picture of yourself that was recorded from what you thought you were perceiving about your potential and the world around you and the picture controls how you think and perform."

"An image not only invokes what is not present but enables us to retain an emotional disposition
towards an absent person. Images soon become a foundation of inner reality towards an absent object. The image of your mother may evoke the love you feel for her, or hate; even after her death, her image remains with you and so does your love and hatred for her. Image becomes a substitute for external object. It is actually inner object, that is a product of mind, In order to have a true visual image of your mother, you have seen her in the external world but when an image is formed that image is a part of you, of your inner life."

"Although no image can produce reality absolutely, the countless images that have been filed in your minds archives shape and form the image that you have about yourself and the world around you. At times you may want to remove yourself from reality, you may want to have an alternative; it is then you visualize things in a different ways."

"Attaining image of your choice may not only be an attempt to gratify a longing desire for that which is not available, but may also be springboard to creativity. If your images can reproduce something desirable that exists but that is not available, you may be motivated to act, to search and to find the object. If the desired object is not available you may create it."

(Quotations from, 'A New Self-Image' by Dr. Peter M. Kalellis)

Human development is important as external reality. The phenomena of images makes a crucial contribution to personality. We have as many types of images as sensations but two prevailing types are of profound importance.

1)    Visual

2)    Auditory.

These are processed by mind and may not mirror simultaneously equivalents in the external words. An Image is an image and not a reality. You look at your face in the mirror, it is not real you. What the mirror reflects is not a faithful reproduction of yourself; however it causes the experience to produce a feeling related to you.

All you have to learn is how to change this picture by investing a little energy in it, by proven methods which are so easy and close to you that you have over looked them. I t only takes a new look and a new insight.

IS IT A GOOD IDEA FOR CHILDREN TO PRACTICE SPORTS A LOT.

Sports brave always been an un separable part of a schoolchild's life. But does it really do so much good after all? This is the topic we are going to talk about today.

First the advantages. The most obvious one is probably the effect a moderate amount of exercise has on the child. Experience shows that children who exercise regularly are more attentive in class than children who never exercise. I remember that I felt a lot more concentrated in class when I was in fourth grade, when I was in a soccer team, than in fifth grade, when I dropped out and stopped exercising entirely. Exercise also has effects on a child's confidence, both in the means of shaping the child's body and giving the child a competition-conscious mind. For example, one of my best friends spent a lot of time on track when she was in primary school, ending up being among the tallest girls in school and having a somewhat superior feeling being able to run faster than anyone else.

But too much sport or improper guidance can be harmful. Being too involved usually ends up in the child feeling tired all the time or taking up too much time that was originally meant for study or play. Children can easily get too worked up in competitions and if this goes without steering, the child may develop wrong views towards winning and losing and life in general. It may also be harmful towards a child's body. Gymnastics, for instance, is known to be harsh towards the gymnasts, usually ending them up small and short. Many sports are dangerous, and children may be crippled when injured in the course of game.

So what attitude should we take up when we are facing such a question? As I see it, children's sports, despite the dangers, should be supported. After all, a moderate amount of sport is essential for a healthy child, and really getting involved in a sport can help build a child's reflexes, skills in sports in general, not to say the understanding of teamwork. So young children spending a lot of time on sports should be a good sign. It means that these children are learning young what they will need to know all their lives.

IS IT MORE IMPORTANT TO LEARN MORE ABOUT BUSINESS OR ABOUT AGRICULTURE?

This essay is an example of how our minds think of a learning field. It is difficult to decide whether to build a business research center or an agriculture research center. As for me, I personally prefer to construct the agriculture research center in my country, China. There are two reasons for my position; the agriculture is very important to my country and the less young people like to work in the agriculture.

First of all, the agriculture is very important for my country. The large population cause my country to have the problem that there are still lots of people cannot eat enough food. If we do not improve our country's agriculture technology, it will be hard to resolve the food problem. So building the agriculture  research center can offer us more information about the development technology and help us to produce more food. We can learn lots of other developed country's advantages through researching and use these information to advance our country's agriculture. Thus , the agriculture research center can give us many benefits.

Another reason is that the young people begin to ignore the agriculture in my country. They do not like to study agriculture, because they think they cannot earn a lot of money by learning agriculture. The flourishing business attracts them. Especially in villages, everybody want to work in the city, and nobody care the corps. It causes only the old experts continue to study the agriculture, no new persons can help them to think the problems. The old experts have limited knowledge. They are hard to get the new things. If more young persons can be volunteers to work for agriculture, more problems will be resolved quickly. There, the young people need to realize the importance of agriculture because they can make more profits in agriculture.

In short, people have different perspectives on building a business center or an agriculture center. However, I am convinced that we need to build the agriculture center. Following my country's situation, the question that whether the people can eat enough or not is the most important things. Therefore, the ignorance of agriculture will make our country go to the famine country.

SHOULD EXERCISE BE A MANDATORY PART OF THE SCHOOL DAY?

This is essay is an example of how Conscious mind is trained at school. In my opinion, physical exercise or physical education is an essential part of children's education, for so many reasons. First of all, to maintain physical fitness of students, secondly, to promote sportsmanship and camaraderie among students and lastly to create a more disciplined behavior of the students.

Exercise helps the body become healthy and fit. The movement coming from physical exertion due to exercise promotes circulation of blood to all parts of the body, thus, enhances the distribution of nutrients from different parts of the body and also it promotes oxygenation of the cells and burning of unwanted fats resulting to vigor and stamina. Also, exercise help prevent diseases and sickness like, heart attack, lung diseases and obesity.

Furthermore, exercise develops camaraderie and sportsmanship among student. This is specially when they play as a team. Students are able to identify their worth in a team and are able to develop their ability to work with a team to be able to reach their common goal, that is to defeat their opponent and come out victorious. They develop friendship with various people because they get to play with other people most of the time, thus, improving the social aspect of their personality. Students become extrovert and active as I observed if they continuously join sports and other form of exercises.

Lastly, This is a good investment in their personality as they grow up because exercise and sports teach them to become  disciplined, patient and friendly. Most of all they become result oriented with their work as they see to it that they persevere in every field that they get into. When they grow up to be come matured individuals, it will not be hard for them to deal with other people and they will always see to it that they put their hearts and minds in everything that they do, as what they have learned in sports while they were still young.

While it is true that academic subjects should be put into priority, I still believe that physical exercise in school should be given the same importance, because it helps develop the emotional, social and physical aspect of a student, preparing him to become a great individual in the future.

CHOOSE AN ANIMAL THAT IS IMPORTANT IN YOUR COUNTRY.

This essay is an example of how our mind thinks of other beings. According to me an animal could be considered important based on what it contributes to mankind. In India the most important animal is the Cow. It is important as it provides a source of food to people, it is an animal which can be used for labor, also the cow is religiously worshiped by the Indian people.

Majority of the people in India are Hindus. According to hindu beliefs and customs, the cow is religiously worshiped. Temples are built in respect of the animal, and the animal itself is considerd holy. These animals are allowed to wander freely anywhere they please, whether it be on the farm lands and fields, or the city streets. In Mumbai and other metropolitan cities of India one would find many cows roaming on the streets. People will very often buy grass and hay, to feed the animals. Although they do cause hindrance to vehicular traffic, but people would never harm them. Car drivers would patiently wait for a cow to move off the center of the road, without honking
their horns or doing anything to scare the animal. This is because of the fact that they worship the animal, and they feel that the animal is important. According to the Hindu religion the god Shri Krishan happened to also be a cow herder, and hence the cow is also worshiped.

In India the main source of milk, happens to be the cow. Every day several million liters of milk are supplied by dairies all over India. They happen to be the cheapest supply of milk for the people, without which tens of thousands of babies would go undernourished.
Thousands of varieties of dairy products and sweets are made from fresh cows milk. Without the cow this would not be possible. Hence the animal is of prime importance to the nation. Also apart from milk, the cow also happens to be the main source of meat in the country. Beef is widely consumed throughout the country. The Muslim community, which happens to be the second largest community in India, are forbidden by religion to consume pork or any other form of pig meat. For them and for other communities also, the cow happens to be the only source of meat, as goats and sheep are not reared in as large numbers and are not found as abundantly as the cow is.

Apart form being a source of meat, the cow is also used on farms for ploughing the fields, and for pulling the bullock carts. In India the farm lands are not consolidated, and hence are very often divided among  family members. This makes the size of the farm plots very small. Also most farmers are not very wealthy. Due to these reasons automation is not feasible. Hence for ploughing the fields, for carrying the grains etc cows are employed on the farms. Cows are also considered as very docile and tamed, and loving animals which can easily be used as animals of burden.

For the Indian people, the cow is not just as an animal of worship, but also a source of food and milk. It is also a very useful animal of burden and can be tamed easily. Hence it has gained the most importance in India.
